Every year in the summer I go to the „Marchese” in Puglia on the coast road of Manduria (Ta), a wild, rocky place, far from human building exploitation, dunes of protected Mediterranean scrub, a house here and there and nothing more for Km in sight keep an eye on. A place that has remained on a human scale over time, where man and the landscape meet and merge without one overriding the other.

As technology has evolved over time, buildings and cities have become increasingly larger, artificial intelligence has become an integral part of our lives, cell phones have become more invasive to the point of altering the perception of things. Man is losing the connection with creation, the connection with Nature, the symbiotic connection with the vital elements.

Every year the usual friends waiting for me, every year the usual landscape, everything the same but everything changes, the landscape and the friends have grown with me and the shapes and lines have changed over the years.

The need to get back in touch with Nature unites us and calls us back every year. A place where I feel incorporated, included, nestled, I feel it in my bones, we shaped ourselves together growing up, each one is part of the other.
